Natural running workshop series
Whether you're A beginner or experienced runner, our natural running workshops are a great way to learn and practice the artful skill of running. Natural running style is characterized by a forefoot strike, stacked joint alignment, and a quicker cadence that has proven to decrease injury and increase running skill, development, and enjoyment. In these workshops you will learn the skill of natural running by focusing on the principles of posture, rhythm, and relaxation, and we have broken this information into two progression based workshops.
Regular running workshops will resume in the springtime. If you would like to schedule a personal running session that covers all of the material offered in the workshops, contact Christian. A running assessment will change your running experience!
Workshop 1: Preparation- Form, Function and Flexibility
In this workshop we will go over the proper form and technique for natural style running as well as strength, conditioning, flexibility, rhythmic breathing, and self-care techniques.
Workshop 2: Running with Skill and Ease
In this workshop we quickly review what we learned in the prep course and put it into practice using a variety of running drills. This course includes dynamic warm-ups, running drills, stretching and a basic running assessment to address your specific biomechanical needs.
